Recap: Budgeting Night at Olympia’s Hands on Children’s Museum

This past Friday, DFI participated in Olympia’s Hands on
Children’s Museum free Friday night with a budgeting for your bank activity.

Nearly 200 kids developed a budget that allowed them to “buy”
one of three piggy banks and decorate it as they see fit.
Kids were given $10 play money and worked closely with their
parents and DFI volunteers to develop their budgets.

Free Financial Education Event for Kids this Friday Evening in Olympia

This Friday, August 7, DFI is sponsoring a Budgeting for Your Bank Event at the Hands on Children’s Museum Free Friday Night in Olympia.Each child will get an “Income” envelope with $10 of play money and a budgeting worksheet.
